More Info

As a child, I loved science and the human body. I knew I wanted to be a doctor, and since all the doctors I knew took care of children, in my ‘kid mind’ being a doctor meant taking care of children, which led me to Pediatrics. I’m a huge proponent of family and patient-centered care, a collaboration between the patient, family, and me. As a mother, I expect clear lines of communication and a relationship of honesty, trust, and mutual respect with my own childrens’ doctors, and I want my families to expect the same of me. And I hope you will allow me to be silly with your children, because that’s one of the reasons I became a pediatrician. Kids are the best!

Dr. vom Eigen left ARC. Her last day seeing patients was on October 20th. Please see below for physicians she recommends to new patients wanting to transfer or establish care at ARC.

Personal Summary

Dr. vom Eigen moved to Texas when she was a child, so considers herself essentially a Texas native. She especially enjoys spending time at family gatherings with her large extended family in Austin. In her free time, Dr. vom Eigen loves to cook and bake, saying “baking is science!,” and that she’d do more if it “if there were a magic kitchen cleaning fairy following me around.” When she first moved to Austin, Dr. vom Eigen lived near South Congress, so that area is still one of her favorites.
