Health
care has always been a part of my life, as I watched my father, also an
internist, care for and build strong, lasting relationships with his patients.
That continuity of care paved the way for me and my future as an internal
medicine physician. I believe in the whole person approach to practicing
medicine, treating the whole person rather than just the symptoms. Both the
physician and the patient need to work together to accomplish a desired goal.
My focus is on educating the patient, to help develop attitudes and lifestyles
that don’t just fight the illness, but help prevent it.
