Learn more about Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
Cardiology is an extremely fulfilling field, and caring for hearts is the most rewarding job. Ever since my first cardiology rotation in medical school, I have always wanted to be a cardiologist. Heart disease is the number one killer, and as a cardiologist, we make a huge impact in our patients’ lives through primary and secondary disease prevention. I believe in patient empowerment through education and informed decision-making. It is not only important to treat the disease, but equally important to educate patients about the disease process and how it can be prevented.

Treadmill Stress Testing
A treadmill test helps a doctor determine how well your heart handles work. As your body works harder during the test, it requires more oxygen, so the heart must pump more blood. The test can show if the blood supply is reduced in the arteries that supply the heart. It also helps doctors know the kind and level of exercise appropriate for a patient.
