Cardiology is an extremely fulfilling field, and caring for hearts is the most rewarding job. Ever since my first cardiology rotation in medical school, I have always wanted to be a cardiologist. Heart disease is the number one killer, and as a cardiologist, we make a huge impact in our patients’ lives through primary and secondary disease prevention. I believe in patient empowerment through education and informed decision-making. It is not only important to treat the disease, but equally important to educate patients about the disease process and how it can be prevented.

I really appreciated that the appt was rescheduled to a Televisit. I was very relieved that my condition does not require the continuance of the statin as it did give me a few uncomfortable reactions, eg stomach pain, muscle pain, headache, extreme fatigue. Hopefully it’s good effect lingers. I appreciate the doctorS referral to a pulmonologist.
