About Marjan A. Linnell, MD

  • Dr. Linnell was born in Tehran, Iran, but grew up in Austin, TX from age six on. When she’s not working, she can be found outside with her husband, toddler, and dogs. Or in the kitchen, since “I absolutely love to cook (but I’m a terrible baker!).” Dr. Linnell’s favorite outdoor spot is Zilker Park, where she spent many enjoyable hours at Barton Springs with her friends while growing up, and now loves the weekend train rides on the Zilker Zephyr with her son.

I chose a career in pediatrics because there has always been something really special to me about the hope and joy in children’s hearts. As a pediatrician, I get to see this every day, while making sure they are growing up to be healthy, happy adults. The most important part of caring for a patient is taking the knowledge I’ve gained in my training and tailoring that to the patient and their family. The best care is evidence based, individualized care that a family is comfortable with and truly understands.

Receptionists were great. PA was awesome with my teen daughter who was terrified of getting a shot, and Dr. Linnell was incredibly kind and caring.

The recommendations and readiness to give outside resources. I also always appreciate the comfort and guidance Dr. Linnell gives.

  • April 14, 2023

Dr. Linnell is simply the best pediatrician there is. No one comes close to her expertise, her “bedside manner” and the confidence she instills in us as parents (she relates by using her own parenting journey as examples). We are blessed to have her caring for our son!
