About Marjan A. Linnell, MD

  • Dr. Linnell was born in Tehran, Iran, but grew up in Austin, TX, from age six onward. When she's not working, she can be found outside with her husband, toddler, and dogs. Or in the kitchen, since "I absolutely love to cook (but I'm a terrible baker!)." Dr. Linnell's favorite outdoor spot is Zilker Park, where she spent many enjoyable hours at Barton Springs with her friends while growing up, and now loves the weekend train rides on the Zilker Zephyr with her son.

    Coordinated care across specialties

Our pediatric doctors and advanced practice clinicians (APCs) work closely with our dedicated ARC specialists who see children to coordinate your child's care. All ARC clinicians can access your child's health records directly without delay, resulting in more convenient and timely quality care for you and your child. Together, we emphasize prevention, evidence-based treatment, comprehensive care, and building long-term relationships.

I chose a career in pediatrics because there has always been something really special to me about the hope and joy in children's hearts. As a pediatrician, I get to see this every day, while making sure they are growing up to be healthy, happy adults. The most important part of caring for a patient is taking the knowledge I've gained in my training and tailoring that to the patient and their family. The best care is evidence-based, individualized care that a family is comfortable with and truly understands.

It’s always a pleasure seeing Dr Linnell and her nurse. I love that Dr Linnell is always ready to hear any questions or concerns without any judgement. I look forward to our well-child visits because Dr Linnell is amazing and gives me the reassurance I need about my children’s health.

We love this team. Unfortunately this last visit was slower than typical which caused some unusual stress. Unsure of why the wait time. It’s tough when you have a baby and you’re trying to keep them occupied for an hour while waiting for doctor + time with doctor + waiting again for shots (which I think was too long this time- usually speedy), then shots. + labs on top of all the above made this visit hard. If we could have moved through the pieces faster we could have helped manage our son more easily. I realize speed is not always possible but just providing feedback for consideration. Especially for the really little ones. It’s easier for our older kid to wait. Thanks y’all

Dr. Linnell is absolutely amazing with our son as well as very thorough! She is very knowledgeable and professional, super nice, and I would recommend her to anyone for pediatric care! We are very lucky we found her!

Dr. Linnell and her nurse are truly the best! As a mom, it means everything to have a pediatric team that is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also kind, patient, and genuinely cares about my children. Dr. Linnell always takes the time to listen, thoroughly answer my questions, and make sure I feel confident before we leave. Nurse is just as wonderful, she is so compassionate, and always makes my boys feel comfortable and at ease. You can tell they both love what they do, and it shows in every interaction. I am beyond grateful to have them caring for my children and would recommend them to any family looking for exceptional pediatric care. Thank you both for everything you do!
