Dermatology is a fascinating field within medicine that still relies primarily on a careful physical exam, recognition of patterns, and attention to detail in arriving at the most correct diagnosis. Dermatologists provide a unique perspective to the patient’s medical team, as diagnosing rare conditions requires a broad scope of knowledge that continues to grow over the course of a career. My approach is to carefully review treatment options with my patients to help them find the course that best aligns with their personal situation and belief. It is rewarding to have effective dermatology treatment options and follow the patient’s improvement and the impact it has on their day-to-day life.
