About Sonia Yousuf, MD

  • In her free time, Dr. Yousuf enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, walking, and yoga. Her favorite Central Texas spot is Lake Travis.

I chose Rheumatology as my specialty because I was impressed by the compassion and knowledge of rheumatologists, and touched by those living with rheumatoid arthritis and Lupus. My goal is to impact every patient’s health in a positive way, every time I see them!

I love going to Dr Yousuf. She’s so knowledgeable and patient. I always feel better after I’ve talked with Dr Yousuf.

This experience was during the lab work. I asked the lab tech if we could use a butterfly needle to which she said “well let me see your veins because we save those for kids who come get labs done.” My guess would be that ARC does not need to ration out the butterfly needles. I would just encourage someone to let this employee know that she should just acknowledge the request from the patient who knows their body best and/or request the lab order the correct amount of supplies that patients need.
