Learn more about Advanced Nurse Practitioners.

I come from a family of nurses and medical professionals. My grandmother was one of the first African American nurses to teach in Dallas, and my great-grandmother was the first African American nurse in Milam County, also serving as a midwife. I love providing care for others and making an impact within the community. Watching several family members through their illness propelled me to want to advocate for others in their time of need. I believe it is important to build a strong relationship with my patients and listen to their needs. I value allowing patients to participate in their care plan in order to provide the best holistic care through family medicine for all ages.

    I like everything

  • June 12, 2026

My doctor and her nurse were so helpful! And they were so reassuring and calm. I'm very appreciative of their help!

  • June 12, 2026

I recently had an appointment that I won't forget, not because I received great news, but because of the amazing experience. Brittany Norris, NP, and her nurse made me feel genuinely heard, seen, and respected from the moment I walked in. The nurse listened to my concerns, provided clear next steps before and after the visit, and took noticeable steps to make me feel comfortable and assured. Brittany is exceptionally knowledgeable and took the time to thoroughly explain my health concerns. She answered every question with real education behind it so that I could really understand. I left feeling informed and, most importantly, relieved. This level of care is not something I have experienced elsewhere in this clinic, or others, which makes it all the more worth recognizing. I left and immediately called a couple friends who have also been having a difficult time finding a provider who listens and recommended Brittany. Thank you to the nurse and Brittany for treating me like a whole person.
