About G. Andrew (Drew) McIntosh, MD

  • Dr. G. McIntosh only sees patients for Same-Day illness and injury visits. Patients should always follow up with their primary care physician (PCP).

Dr. McIntosh grew up in Akron, Ohio, the “Rubber Capital of the World” and home to many well-known musicians. He and his wife got to Texas just as soon as they could in 2015. In his free time, he continues his lifelong passion of playing music, with guitar being his main instrument. But he will also “pick up a bass, saxophone, or the cigar box banjo a patient made for me!” In addition to music, Dr. McIntosh enjoys traveling with his wife and has explored the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Ireland and Scotland. His favorite locales include anywhere with music, hiking Enchanted Rock, tubing the river in New Braunfels, and chilling in Guadalupe State Park with their rescue dogs. He says “Overall, nothing beats the Texas sky at night!”

My first memory of a physician was a ‘good old country doc’ whose office was behind my family home when I was young. He let me hang around his office and his care for patients made a strong impression on me. I was drawn to the science of medicine and Family Medicine allowed me to have a wide scope of caring for people – it was a natural fit. I love working as an urgent care physician, where we have the satisfaction of helping people feel better quickly, or we can direct them to more extensive care.

Liked dr McIntosh, made me feel comfortable immediately and also relieved that he was knowledgeable ! What was great is not having to go in the office! Didn’t realize how much time is saved! Didn’t have to fight traffic or crowds! You also avoid exposure to illnesses that are out there! Loved every aspect of visit! Would highly recommend tito family & friends!
