About Andrew M. Walters, MD

  • Dr. Walters only sees patients for same-day illness and injury visits at ARC clinics as needed. Patients should always follow up with their primary care physician (PCP).

Outside of work, Dr. Walters is an outdoorsman and sports enthusiast – he enjoys running, swimming, surfing, camping, golf, frisbee, basketball, baseball, football, and rooting for the Orioles, Commanders, and Terrapins. He also enjoys hanging out with his wife and 3 unruly children. His favorite local spot? 'Pinthouse Pizza!''

I practice Family Medicine because every day in clinic, I get to meet new people from all over the world. I get to hear their stories, meet their families, and help them heal. In some cases, I get to see them again and again, building trust and respect while forming meaningful relationships. To me, there is nothing more rewarding. My practice philosophy is best summarized in the words of William Osler:’ It is much more important to know what sort of patient has a disease than what sort of disease a patient has.

Had a meaningful discussion with dr today and discussed what could be the next steps if this medication doesn’t improve my condition

  • December 18, 2025

Shortly after sending a message to Dr. Walters I received a call from his nurse. She clarified my concerns and scheduled an appointment for me when my work shift was over. We visited and he stated he was sorry that I had been in pain since our last visit and scheduled me for an injection in less than an hour. Very, very pleased with my visit.

Dr Walters listened to my questions and didn't just prescribe the same medicine I previously had. He said there is a better option now and really appreciated that.
