About Andrew M. Walters, MD

  • Dr. Walters only sees patients for same-day illness and injury visits at ARC clinics as needed. Patients should always follow up with their primary care physician (PCP).

Outside of work, Dr. Walters is an outdoorsman and sports enthusiast – he enjoys running, swimming, surfing, camping, golf, frisbee, basketball, baseball, football, and rooting for the Orioles, Commanders, and Terrapins. He also enjoys hanging out with his wife and 3 unruly children. His favorite local spot? 'Pinthouse Pizza!''

I practice Family Medicine because every day in clinic, I get to meet new people from all over the world. I get to hear their stories, meet their families, and help them heal. In some cases, I get to see them again and again, building trust and respect while forming meaningful relationships. To me, there is nothing more rewarding. My practice philosophy is best summarized in the words of William Osler:’ It is much more important to know what sort of patient has a disease than what sort of disease a patient has.

I loved how welcoming and supportive the ARC staff were to me. I?d been neglected by my general practitioner, and Dr. Walters listened to me, showed me kindness and grace, and is giving me the medical attention and care I?ve needed for quite some time. Wilhelmina was extremely kind and helpful and guided me through ARC kindly and thoroughly. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be back!

When I am sick - I always try to find where Dr Walters is in clinic to go see him. He is very patient and easy to talk to and explain how I am feeling. He never makes me feel like he is rushing me. He just is an all around great Dr!!!
