About Angelita Cantu, APRN, MSN, FNP-C

  • Angelita Cantu is an ARC Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner who sees patients at ARC clinics as needed.

Angelita grew up in Alice, Texas. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys. If the family isn’t taking a quick road trip to see other family, they are likely at the park or at the baseball field. Favorite local spots include different local pools to cool off in the summer!

Learn more about Advanced Nurse Practitioners.

I chose a career in medicine because I knew I wanted to help care for people, and I chose nursing because I wanted to work at the bedside caring for patients. I furthered my education by becoming a nurse practitioner, to have the opportunity to work with patients across the spectrum. Working in health care is such a wonderful way to give back to my community. I enjoy learning about my patients and hearing their stories, which helps me understand them, their experiences in health care, and their readiness to take steps to improve their quality of life. I enjoy continuing to learn and grow in evidence-based practice, but also like a patient-centered approach to help others improve their quality of life.

I have come to have high expectations for every interaction I have with ARC. Everyone I meet there is friendly, professional, and seems to really care about the patients. This was true again today during the Medicare Wellness check. The receptionist, nurse, and service provider were outstanding. Thank you.
