About
Shivani I. Patel, MD
-
Outside of work, Dr. Patel is usually planning her next travel adventure, reading, discovering new restaurants with her husband, spending time with family and friends, or experimenting with a new recipe. She is also a fashion lover. “Life’s all about balance and enjoying the little things,” she says. Being relatively new to Central Texas, Dr. Patel is always on the lookout for new places to explore—a great local restaurant, a hidden gem, or a scenic place to catch some views.
I chose a career in Family Medicine because I value long-term relationships and the opportunity to care for people across all stages of life. Growing up, I saw how health can impact not just individuals, but entire families. It’s a privilege to make a real difference in someone’s life. I believe that good care starts with a genuine connection and collaboration. Patients know their bodies and lives better than anyone else, and my job is to partner with them, bringing medical knowledge, empathy, and honesty to the conversation, fostering trust and collaboration for the best possible outcomes. I also love that medicine keeps me curious, humble, and always learning.
