About Diana N. Andino, MD

  • Dr. Andino grew up in Ecuador and Texas. When she is not working, Dr. Andino loves spending time with her family and friends, exploring new cities and restaurants. She also enjoys taking care of her plants and terrarium. And, she has “recently discovered the joy of glamping” as well!

I found my calling in medicine after volunteering at a local county hospital as a Spanish medical interpreter. I have a special interest in complex diseases like multiple sclerosis (MS) and neuromyelitis optica (NMO). I have found incredible interest in the intricacies of diagnosis and treatment of demyelinating diseases, as well as the opportunity for strong and lengthy continuity of care. As an advocate, I will become part of my patients’ care team to help navigate choosing treatment, and provide guidance along the journey of a new or chronic diagnosis of MS or a related disorder. Each patient is unique, with challenges that are important to consider when dealing with complex disorders. I strive to help patients reach their full potential to maximize their life and independence.

Dr Andino was very kind and easy to speak with. I felt she cared about my concerns.

The entire visit was a great experience - the quick and easy check-in, to the nonexistent wait in the waiting room, and the wonderful nurses that did the pre and post visit tasks. And most importantly, visiting with Dr. Andino feels like a visit with family. She is so patient, thorough, and attentive. She makes you feel totally comfortable, doesn’t rush the visit, and it’s obvious she truly cares about her patients and their wellbeing. We are beyond grateful that she is a part of our MS journey!

The doctor was short and seemed irritated by my presence. I asked how long did she estimate my recovery would be and I could start feeling better. She said “ I have no idea I’ve just met you.” She didn’t explain things to me at all especially when I asked questions. Again, she treated me like I was a problem and she didn’t want to be there. I’m not used to that kind of treatment by anyone much less a doctor I went to for help. She did make me an appt another Dr and sent a few scripts over- decking to fill more zofran as she said it can cause harm if taken too much. The problem with that is I don’t take too much and I was there for vertigo and nausea after a hospital visit. So I need the zofran and her behavior towards me was unkind and uncaring.
