About Jerett A. Zipin, DO

  • Dr. Zipin, who grew up in Massachusetts, enjoys triathlons, hiking, woodworking, and spending time with his wife and toddler son. Although relatively new to Central Texas, Dr. Zipin’s favorite Central Texas locale is “anywhere there is good barbeque!”

I grew up in a family of physicians, and after several tennis injuries in college, I volunteered in a physical therapy facility and emergency room, where I found my true passion in Sports Medicine. I believe we are all athletes, whether your goals are to run an ultra-marathon or just walk around, pain-free, with your grandkids. Injuries might not always be unique, but the patient and their situation are always individual. I believe in listening to my patient’s goals and needs, and taking a collaborative approach when it comes to deciding what is the most appropriate treatment.

Bracing restricts movement and can help relieve pressure, help heal, take weight off an injured area, and provide post-operative support.

Casting helps immobilize injured bones, promote healing, and reduce pain and swelling while bones heal from surgery or injury.
