Local health departments have not recommended additional vaccination beyond current guidelines. Texas health officials urge immunization to protect against and prevent the spread of measles. Austin Regional Clinic (ARC) doctors, staff, and leadership are committed to providing our community with high quality convenient care. One of the ways we demonstrate this priority is through our online transparency.
You can review our provider ratings and comments on our web site with the confidence that they are all based on verified visits. We post all patient feedback relevant to the entire visit and only refrain from posting comments that are libelous, profane, or those that risk the privacy of our patients.
The below guide provides details about how we collect and share our patient feedback.
ARC partnered with Press Ganey to collect patient feedback about their doctor’s visit. We gather feedback from text surveys that are sent after the visit. Press Ganey is an independent third party customer feedback company that provides the technology to collect the feedback and display ratings and comments on our web site. All ratings are submitted by actual patients and verified by ARC.
Patients for whom we have a mobile phone number receive a text survey within two hours of checking in for their visit. Patients are asked to complete the survey and provide ratings and comments regarding their experience at different touch points of their visit. We use this feedback to recognize doctors and staff, identify issues we can correct, and enhance our care.
ARC posts all positive and negative patient feedback that is relevant to the entire visit. We refrain from posting comments that are libelous, profane, or those that risk the privacy of our patients.
ARC asks questions that touch on the overall patient experience related to their visit. Anyone seeking detailed information about each question can view the ratings for each specific question on the Reviews tab on the provider bio page on the website. We calculate our provider star ratings based on the responses to question number six below. We calculate our location star ratings based on the responses to all the below questions.
Since more recent data provides a more accurate picture, we require a minimum of 30 patient surveys per doctor in the last 12 months before we post a physician’s rating.
ARC physicians and staff review all comments and act to rectify issues. Since the purpose of the feedback is to allow us to improve the overall patient experience, we display the last 90 days of comments which are the most relevant for the practice.
No. Only patients having an outpatient visit by an ARC physician receive a survey. The results are based entirely from patients who have actually been treated by the physician in our clinics.
Comments are reviewed and approved prior to being published to the website. If a comment contains any personally identifiable information, that information will be removed from the comment.

Dr. Gray grew up outside of Philadelphia, PA, near Valley Forge. When he is not working, he enjoys nature with walks through the woods, watching the night sky, identifying bird songs, and caring for rescued animals. He also enjoys listening to and trying to play Celtic music. Being a nature lover, Dr. Gray’s favorite Central Texas locales are “all the natural areas and the amazing plant animal life that inhabits them.”
I enjoyed learning human physiology and found a way to apply what I learned to help people by becoming an Internal Medicine physician. I help people with a wide variety of medical problems, and enjoy not only finding the best treatment, but helping patients understand their medical problem so they can help themselves. I listen to the patient, apply the most up-to-date options, and spend some time educating patients so they can understand what is wrong and become more involved in their own treatment.

ARC is always #1. This week just proves it more. My boyfriend took me to the closest non wait er and that was st David medical in RR. I had been throwing up for 7hrs when I went into the building. They didn’t seem too concerned, laughed about my hangover and put some fluids in me and sent me home. Mind you I don’t drink at all and it was a special occasion. So I obviously think I’m sick because of the alcohol. 3 days later still throwing up, definitely not alcohol. I called them bc they said if I didn’t get any better to come back. I called and they were rude. I was like why am I calling them anyhow. Call ARC and per usual, I was on the phone with a nurse and scheduled an appt with mins of calling. Then I get there and Dr. Gray and the nursing staff were so kind and determined to find out why. He could’ve given me more meds and sent me on my way but he listened and tested so much more. I hope we find out why soon. Even the lab, the lady who drew my blood was the sweetest person. I’m in my 40’s and scared of needles, severely dehydrated and she gets my vein the first time, and as soft as she could. I have bruises everywhere from the others, I don’t even see the puncture spot where she did it. The team stayed with me well after the building was closed. ARC team is superb!! Thank you DR. Gray and team, caring and compassion still exists in the health field because of humans like you.
I liked that the front desk is friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the CmA & his very personal care and gentle approach. De. Gray was very informative and helpful with getting down to the cause of my illness. First with taking blood tests to see what the issue is and then proceeding further. I’m happy with the direction my care is going.
Always a pleasure meeting with Doctor Gray and the staff at ARC
Dr Gray is an excellent doctor. He listens and problem solves.
Thank you, Dr. David Gray for saving my butt! And keeping me all in one piece
All was great
