About Victoria K. Gaca, MD

  • When she is not working, Dr. Gaca loves spending time with friends, family, and her cat. Live music is her favorite pastime, and she has traveled all over the country for different live music events. Dr. Gaca also enjoys walks on the trail by her home, yoga to stay active, and unwinding with TV, movies, and books. Her favorite area spot is Kerbey Lane Café - “It was one of my favorite places to eat during my college days at UT,” she says, “and still is!”

I was drawn to Internal Medicine while in medical school, as it appealed to my broad interests with its vast subject matter and wide scope of practice. I enjoy providing comprehensive medical care and treating the entire patient as a whole. I believe in practicing compassion, empathy, and open-mindedness with my patients, and always put my patients first and make decisions that are in their best interest. I believe open communication, tolerance, and trust are essential to the doctor-patient relationship. I want my patients to be actively involved in their medical care so they feel empowered to continue making healthy life choices when they leave my clinic.

My nurse listens to what is wrong ( like always) and some brings up things that I told her last visit we would address this one. She also can always tell when something is off and will direct it. She just cares. Dr Gaca is the same. She knows as soon as she comes in the room if I have a migraine or if something is bothering me or if it is the same ol same ol that we are just trying to get answers to. She is the best and treats you like family and does everything possible to make you feel at home and get the answers we need. She doesn't say ok here is a pill and send you on your way. There is a answer to be found first. She treats you like a human not a number

Was expecting provider to tell me what immunizations and other diagnostic tests and or procedures I needed . Blew right over it prompting me to ask.

  • June 5, 2024

Both the doctor and nurse listened to our concerns and worked with us to come up with possible solutions and referrals.

I had a lot of issues which needed to be addressed. All though she spent 30 minutes with me,she addressed all my concerns. She is the best physician I’ve ever seen and spoke with.
