Dr. Garcia was raised in Los Angeles, CA, and decided to put roots down in Austin with her husband, who is a native of the city. When not at work, she likes to spend time exploring Austin, jogging, and spending time outdoors with her dog. So far, her favorite outdoor spots in Austin are Zilker Park and Lady Bird Lake. She also enjoys reading and exploring art museums and galleries. Dr. Garcia and her husband both love traveling and, as she says, “have a lot of places left to cross off our list!”
“I chose Family Medicine because it allows me the opportunity to get to know my patients over the course of their whole lives. Not only is Family Medicine about treating disease, it is also about disease prevention, health education, and overall well-being. I care about my patients and like to spend time truly getting to know them, because I believe all aspects of their life contribute to their health. This way, together, we can decide the best care plan and help me consistently provide good, evidence-based care.”
