Dr. Brooks grew up around Austin, TX, and Albuquerque, NM. She served as a United States Army Captain, Medical Corps, from 2012-2016, in General Practice at Fort Hood, TX. When she is not at work, Dr. Brooks enjoys spending time with her family, and loves cooking and reading, in addition to taking up competitive running “as a challenge,” she says. She also enjoys learning about different cultures and languages, and is currently working on learning Spanish and Korean. One of Dr. Brooks’ favorite local spots is her parents’ home in Point Venture, where she enjoys the view of Lake Travis.

When I was around 11 years old, I remember watching the TV show “ER” and telling my parents I was going to be a doctor. I did an internship in high school and continued to volunteer. Being a doctor has always been my dream, and during my three years as a General Practitioner for the Army, I grew to love Family Medicine. I love getting to know my patients and seeing them progress to better health. I believe that caring for a patient is a journey you take together, and it is important for both doctor and patient to know and agree on the route of care and treatment.
