About
Nikki G. Patel, MD
-
Dr. Patel grew up in Plano, TX. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, cooking, and "reading when I can." Dr. Patel's favorite local spot is Hamilton Pool.
I always enjoyed science and thought I would enjoy medicine. I suffered with severe allergies as a child and received significant benefit from treatment with allergy shots. This personal experience solidified allergy as a choice for my specialty. I want my patients to feel comfortable with me, to be able to ask questions and for clarification about issues they are not sure about. I believe in evidence-based medicine and shared decision-making where a conversation is had about treatment options before a mutual decision is made, so patients feel confident in the medical care they are receiving.
