About Urooj B.N. Jaffer, MD

  • Dr. Jaffer grew up in Karachi, Pakistan. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her two young sons, reading and doing crafts with them. Dr. Jaffer also likes to travel and explore new places, cultures, and food. Among her favorite locales in the area are Hamilton Pool Reserve and Lake Travis.

I was inspired to choose medicine by my mother, who is also a family doctor. I grew up seeing her as a problem-solver, connecting with patients and their families, and was inspired by the gratification that comes from helping people when they are sharing their vulnerabilities and investing their trust in their doctor. I believe that I am a partner in my patients’ health, and my role is to keep motivating them to make healthy choices.

My appointment was at 9:30. I was moved to a room at 9:30. I saw the doctor about 1015 1020. I understand some patients take longer than others, but no one came and explained to me that she was running behind or anything nothing was said or or even checked on me . I was about to walk out when the doctor finally walked in. I hate to say it, but this visit has by far the worst that I’ve ever had at ARC, And believe me I have not had some very good ones in the past.
