Learn more about Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).

I was drawn to medicine by seeing the relationships physicians build with their patients and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their lives. Growing up, I spent a lot of time working with my hands, including plumbing houses with my dad. Orthopedic surgery brings these interests together — the personal side of caring for people with the hands-on, mechanical aspects of surgery. I ultimately chose joint replacement because I find it very rewarding to help someone regain their mobility, independence, and quality of life. I believe great patient care starts with listening and understanding what matters most to each patient, helping them understand their condition and treatment options, and making decisions together based on their individual needs and goals.
