About
Cara G. Lye, MD, FAAP
-
Dr. Lye grew up in Austin. In her free time, she enjoys hanging with her husband, three children, and puppy. She loves boating on the lake, going for walks and bike rides with her family, and reading. Her favorite locales are the lakes!
I have always loved working with children and knew early on I wanted to be a pediatrician. I love that children are so resilient and typically bounce back quickly when they are ill. I believe that caring for children is a team effort with the parents, and I strive to empower parents and patients through education, support, and honesty. I pride myself on being approachable and family-centered in the care of my patients. Being a mom myself, I understand the need for creativity, play, and flexibility when working with kids, and I always try to incorporate that into my patients’ visits. Knowing I can play a part in helping children grow to become healthy and happy adults is extremely rewarding.
