About Laurel D. Sunde, APRN, FNP-C, RNFA

  • Laurel Sunde grew up in San Diego, CA. In her free time, she and her husband enjoy the Austin music and culinary scene, “always something new to discover!” Playing piano, guitar, and singing gives her the opportunity to relax at home. In addition, Laurel enjoys water sports, running, and hiking the Austin greenbelt trails.

“Pursuing a career in nursing as a nurse practitioner felt like a natural next step in caring for and walking alongside people during challenging times, to provide support and healing. It is a privilege to provide the education and understanding that allows my patients to have the tools necessary to make sustainable changes toward a better quality of life. Education is at the core of my practice. The GI specialty allows me to develop a relationship and build trust with my patients and take the needed time to provide personalized care. It is important that I understand the needs and concerns of my patients, so we can work together toward a treatment plan they understand, feel comfortable with, is sustainable, and meets their goals.”
