About Alison G. Kartush, MD

  • Dr. Kartush grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. Dr. Kartush is married to her medical school sweetheart from Tulane and has two young daughters. She spends "a lot of time playing, swimming, and hiking with them and our goldendoodle." One of her favorite area locales is Barton (and Barking!) Springs in Austin.

As an ENT, I get to take care of patients of all ages, from newborns to 90-year-olds, and I love when I see multiple generations of patients from one family. I like that every area of surgery utilizes different technology and techniques, and that surgery is always evolving to take better care of patients. I love that often, when we see patients with a problem, we can treat them with medication or surgery and significantly improve their quality of life. I believe every patient should feel respected, heard, and cared for. I counsel patients like they are my family, and make sure that they feel well informed for every decision, medical or surgical, that we make together.

Right from the start the MA for Dr.Kartush was so very sweet, kind and helpful. Dr.Kartush is one of the best doctors I've ever seen in my life and that is saying something; as I've seen many. Her kind and caring bedside manner really struck me because I felt like I was in the best hands I could be. My reason for seeing her has often been something other doctors never had any answers for me in regards to treatment. So when she had many ways to go about bringing me relief? That was such a welcome surprise. She also has a gentle touch which is appreciated when you're in pain like I am. I also like that she came in with a smile. She made me feel immediately at ease and like I was in the best place I could be for my problem. I am so grateful to found such an amazing provider. Thank you for having someone like her at ARC!

The Nurse was very nice. She even remembered me from my last visit. Dr. Kartush was very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease with my Nose polyp issue. She also was very easy to talk to. She remembered details of my last visit that were outside of the regular doctor notes. She has a great bedside manner that made me feel like I was speaking with a girlfriend or life long friend. I wouldn’t go to anyone else after having her as my ENT doctor.
