I remember watching my first episode of ER when I was in 9th grade, and knowing immediately that I wanted to work in health care. I found nursing, with the goal of becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner. I believe it is important to listen to the patient and their parents, in order to understand their concerns. I enjoy educating parents so they feel better equipped to manage their child's acute illness at home, and also understand warning symptoms that require follow-up.
