About Adeline Jade H. Yu, MD

  • Dr. Yu is an ARC Family Medicine physician who sees patients at ARC clinics as needed.

Dr. Yu grew up in Manila, Philippines, and completed her medical training in the U.S. In her free time, Dr. Yu enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her dog. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, exploring new places, and practicing Pilates. One of her favorite sites in Austin is The Domain.

I was captivated by the complexity of the different pathophysiology of different disease processes and the critical thinking that led to each diagnosis and intervention, and my eagerness and curiosity led me to Family Medicine. I enjoy being a patient’s advocate, educating and counseling them regarding their health and medical wellness. I am competent, compassionate, and committed to the best interests of my patients.

Doctor Yu seemed nice and was very professional, however, I left the visit in the belief that it was a complete waste of time. The only exam performed on me was a mere pressing on my stomach. And the only reason why I scheduled the impromptu appointment was because the triage nurses that I spoke to over the phone prior to the appointment suggested that I schedule this appointment. I asked the triage nurses what type of examination will occur during this visit (I was hoping for a CAT scan or an ultrasound something to get to what caused the flareup that I experience for the previous four days) and I was reassured that this visit was necessary since my primary Gastro physician was not available until July. Today’s appointment was an utter waste of time; the fact that the physician simply just pressed on my stomach and told me to schedule a physical with my primary care physician was just unbelievable. No medical care or attempt perform medical care to understand what may have caused the flareup was shocking. If I knew this was going to be the end result from today’s appointment, I wouldn’t have scheduled the appointment and I would have not had to pay a co-pay to hear the physician to tell me to meet with my primary care physician. Today’s appointment was a waste of time and a waste of money!
