About William B. Blunk, AuD

  • Dr. Blunk grew up in El Paso, TX. When he is not working, he enjoys playing his guitar, going to see/hear live music, or riding his bike around the lake. His favorite area locales include restaurants like Quality Seafood, Mongers, or Black’s BBQ, music venues Hole in the Wall, The White Horse, or Sagebrush, and Zilker Park/Barton Springs pool.

I have a passion for language and communication, and wanted to work in a field that supports those interests. Plus, Audiology allows me to directly help people in need. In my practice, I focus directly on the present needs of the patient. This means intense listening and always keeping the stated needs of the patient at the forefront of my practice.

I liked that we figured out what the likely cause was of my ear infection. Itchy ears. And I was given solutions to control the itchiness and clear instructions moving forward. I've been dealing with frequent ear infections for months so I'm very happy that my left ear is free of fungus now and I have a plan for my ear health moving forward. I'm also happy to know that my hearing is excellent at 50.
