About William B. Blunk, AuD

  • Dr. Blunk grew up in El Paso, TX. When he is not working, he enjoys playing his guitar, going to see/hear live music, or riding his bike around the lake. His favorite area locales include restaurants like Quality Seafood, Mongers, or Black’s BBQ, music venues Hole in the Wall, The White Horse, or Sagebrush, and Zilker Park/Barton Springs pool.

I have a passion for language and communication, and wanted to work in a field that supports those interests. Plus, Audiology allows me to directly help people in need. In my practice, I focus directly on the present needs of the patient. This means intense listening and always keeping the stated needs of the patient at the forefront of my practice.

W/hearing issues, the waiting room and front desk are hard to navigate due to chatter noise from people already there. Loved that the audiologist saw the emergent need to get me to the clinician immediately upon seeing the dire study rests.

I felt like the Dr asked a couple times to make sure I don’t have any other questions. The appointment was efficient but I didn’t feel rushed

The provider made the hearing test so fun for my son. He has adhd so I was concerned he wouldn’t focus, but because he made it a game for my son we got accurate results and my son asked if we could get that game at home. The provider answered all of my questions and was very kind.

Really great experience and made me understand where I am with hearing as I had never been tested or seen any of the scales, etc.
