About
James H. Wang, MD
-
Dr. Wang was born in China but grew up in north Austin, and after his training in San Antonio and Odessa, is happy to be “back home!” When he is not at work, Dr. Wang enjoys spending time with his family, including two small children, at a local park or exploring new places in Austin. He also likes to read detective novels and play Ultimate Frisbee. Among his favorite local areas is Fredericksburg in the Hill Country, “a great place to spend a casual day eating and wandering.”
Growing up, I always thought that health care provides healing and comfort for others and is a truly gratifying profession. I really loved my family doctor and dreamed about becoming one. Family Medicine is special because instead of focusing on a specific disease/problem, it focuses on the person as a whole. In my practice, the patients always come first. It is my role to listen and guide them with my medical expertise so they can all have all the information available, and together, we can make the best medical decision specifically suited for each patient.
