About Sarah A. Givner, MD, MPH

  • Dr. Givner solely provides care for patients with mental and behavioral conditions. She and her team of advanced practice clinicians (APCs) help patients, alongside their families, achieve their maximum emotional, psychological, developmental, and academic potential.

If you would like to establish care at Austin Regional Clinic, Dr. Givner highly recommends her ARC Far West Pediatric colleagues:

Dr. Givner grew up in Melville, NY (Long Island). In her free time, she can be found exploring parks, playgrounds, and family-friendly Austin with her husband and two children. Dr. Givner also enjoys concerts, travel, comedy, and movies. “Austin is an amazing place for movie, music, and comedy culture,” she says, “I feel grateful to live in a city that values its creativity and uniqueness."

Her favorite area locale is Laguna Gloria, “my favorite place to unwind while taking in the sculptures, the peacocks, the food at Spread, and especially the beautiful view of Lake Austin.”

I chose a career in medicine to help people in a concrete, tangible and immediate way, and chose pediatrics in particular because it’s such a joyful, creative, and forward-thinking profession. I love the preventive aspects of it—how we can help set kids up for lifelong success. I take an individual and holistic approach with all my patients. Each one is so different with their personalities, strengths, weaknesses, medical conditions, etc., and their medical care should be reflective of that and tailored to it.
