    Learn more about Physician Assistants

I was initially drawn to medicine and dermatology after my father was diagnosed with melanoma when I was in high school. It is fulfilling to me to help patients make positive changes in their skin and feel more educated when they are making choices. Dermatology is intellectually stimulating, with so many facets to explore, which makes it continually exciting. Preventive medicine and patient education are of utmost importance in all fields of medicine, but especially dermatology. I value the time I spend with patients creating a collaborative, informed treatment plan, so they feel well equipped to make decisions about their treatment.

Andie had the gift with my son! She got on his eye level and spoke to him sweetly but directly and clearly. She was patient when he interrupted and stayed on track making sure he understood why his skin spots were happening and what the game plan was to stop them. She offered alternative fidget options and suggested that picking might be a neuro thing in a soft PC way. I could tell he really liked her and received what she was saying- thank you to her!
