Coming from a long line of nurses, I have always been interested in health and wellness. After completing my training in Public Health, I wanted to be hand-on in making a real difference in people’s quality of life. I began researching careers in medicine and realized the impact nurses can have because of their direct patient care. Preventive health care is perhaps the most important aspect of medicine. I believe in the old cliché, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
