I chose Family Medicine for the variety, not only in the medical problems, but also in the patients I get to know. The Urgent Care area of Family Medicine has allowed me the opportunity to meet and treat people of varying backgrounds, generations, and cultures. I strive to form and maintain a partnership with my patients, helping them understand their illness or injury, and giving them a say in their treatment. My role is to listen and to communicate in a way that is both educational and motivational. This optimizes the effectiveness of the patients’ all-important roles in their health and wellbeing.
