About
Ramon Esparza, MD

Dr. Esparza's last day at ARC was on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. Please see below for physicians he recommends to new patients wanting to transfer or establish care at ARC. Read Letter.
Dr. Esparza grew up in El Paso, TX. When he’s not working, Dr. Esparza says “as a die-hard Longhorn, I enjoy attending sporting events at UT.” He and his wife, also a physician, have three children and enjoy spending time together as a family. He also enjoys traveling and exercising. Dr. Esparza’s favorite area locale is the Hill Country – he and his wife enjoy going there for rest and relaxation.
I chose a career in medicine because I was always drawn to the sciences from a young age, as a close family member had a serious brain ailment. Once I went through my pediatric clinical rotation in medical school, I knew I had found my calling. Seeing the huge impact that I could have on children gave me a great sense of fulfillment. I believe that medicine is not just a one-way street; it is a joint path of working together with the patient to achieve the ultimate goal. This is accomplished by working with the patient and family so they fully understand their illness and what is needed to get better. I enjoy all pediatric ages from birth to young adulthood.
