About
Neema M. Saraiya, MD
-
Dr. Saraiya is no longer with ARC. Her last day seeing patients was Friday, January 13, 2023. Please see below for physicians she recommends to new patients wanting to transfer or establish care at ARC. Read Letter.
Dr. Saraiya, a native Texan, grew up in Dallas. She is relatively new to the Austin area, but has already decided that it is “my ideal place to live!” She has enjoyed exploring the amazing restaurants and food trucks, listening to live music, going on hikes, and spending days on the lake. Dr. Saraiya’s favorite locales so far? “The beautiful hilly landscape surrounding Lake Austin – unlike anything I’ve seen in Texas!”
I chose a career in gastroenterology because there is no other job quite as exciting! My profession is intellectually stimulating and requires constantly keeping up with the latest advancements and recommendations. GI covers a huge range of disorders that affect people’s day to day lives and I feel privileged to help whether it be through performing a procedure, starting a medication or sharing advice on lifestyle modifications. The problems we treat within GI are often difficult to talk about; I enjoy building relationships with my patients in order to help make them feel as comfortable as possible so we can work together to make personalized decisions regarding their own healthcare.
