If you are a woman needing to see a physician specializing in women’s health but are not at a place in your life where you are considering pregnancy, you may find that seeing a gynecologist is a better alternative for you than seeing an Ob/Gyn. A gynecologist sees women of all ages for evaluation and treatment for a wide variety of health issues, and specializes in women's reproductive health including menstruation, menopause, hormonal changes, and more.
Your gynecologist will focus on all your gynecological, reproductive, and sexual health issues that do not fall under the expertise of an obstetrician, including annual gynecological exams, menopause treatment and management, menstrual irregularities and dysfunction, birth control and contraceptive counseling, hormone changes, osteoporosis, and STD screening and treatment to name a few.
Part of your gynecological treatment at ARC may include undergoing certain procedures based on your health needs. Some procedures may be performed right in our offices while others will need to take place either in a hospital near our offices or nearby surgery centers.
ARC offers gyn-only practices to make it easy for women to get the care they need when they need it.
