Effective October 1, 2026, Austin Regional Clinic (ARC) will transition its obstetrics and gynecology services from ARC Seton Northwest to other ARC clinics. Labor and delivery services at Ascension Seton Northwest will transition after September 25.
This transition is due to an expansion of ob/gyn services at ARC clinics throughout Central Texas, specifically at ARC Medical Plaza Specialty, ARC South Ob/Gyn, ARC Northwest Hills Specialty, and ARC South Pediatrics and Gynecology.
All ARC patients at ARC Seton Northwest, including expectant mothers, will continue to see their same ARC physicians and advanced practice clinicians (APCs) and will be contacted directly by ARC to ensure a seamless transition of care. Labor and delivery and surgical services will transition as listed below.
- ARC Ob/Gyn physicians transitioning to ARC Medical Plaza Specialty will provide labor and delivery services at Ascension Seton Cedar Park Hospital.
- ARC Ob/Gyn physicians transitioning to ARC South Ob/Gyn will provide labor and delivery services at St. David's South Austin Medical Center.
- ARC North Austin Ob/Gyn continues to expand and provides labor and delivery services at St. David's North Austin Medical Center.
- ARC Center Street Ob/Gyn practice in Kyle has expanded this year and provides labor and delivery services at Ascension Seton Hays Hospital.
- ARC Ob/Gyn and Gynecology-only physicians provide gynecological surgeries at the hospitals listed above, local surgery centers, and at ARC Surgery Centers when they open.
ARC continues to grow and expand services and locations to best meet the community's needs. As the cities north and south of Austin expand, the demand for high quality care, especially for young families, grows with it. Overall, ARC has 38 Ob/Gyn physicians and APCs, and six gynecologists caring for patients throughout Central Texas.
This ob/gyn transition follows the January 2026 grand opening of ARC Greenlawn Specialty, a free-standing clinic serving as a specialty hub for patients, offering access to specialty and surgical care in one centralized location. ARC will open a larger specialty hub and surgery center in South Austin later this summer.
