Dr. Kielhorn is “relatively new” to Central Texas, though his wife is from Austin. He enjoys spending time with his wife and young child, playing outdoors, going to the lake, museums, parks, or traveling to other local attractions. Dr. Kielhorn also enjoys trying new and unique restaurants, and a round of golf “when I get the opportunity.” His favorite local spots include the Nutty Brown Amphitheatre for live music, local restaurants Chuy’s, Torchy’s, and Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill, and DKR Memorial Stadium for Big 12 UT football games – even though he admittedly still wears MSU Spartan green most fall Saturdays!

Learn more about Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).

I have grown up around medicine, especially family medicine, my entire life, as my father is a physician in a small town in Michigan. I have fond memories of time spent with my father visiting his hospitalized patients, where I realized the value of relationships and how they molded me to be the doctor and the person I am today. I chose osteopathic medicine because I truly believe in seeing and treating the individual as a whole, rather than treating a diagnosis or disease. I emphasize patient-centered care, being an advisor, and providing the most up-to-date, evidence-based medical recommendations to assist my patients with formulating a comprehensive care plan.

The nurse was particularly helpful. She has good communication skills.

  • August 15, 2025

Always thorough and caring and timely with thoughtfulness from everyone from the time I enter until I leave

  • August 15, 2025

Liked how quickly I was in and out. Very simple. Already getting lab results in the my chart app. Easy and convenient.

  • August 14, 2025

It took a few weeks to get an appointment that allowed me not to miss work. As a contract therapist I have less flexibility than most but we did it and referrals out for the next stage

I like Dr. Kielhorn’s approach to treatment with me. He listens to my chief complaint, assesses my situation and creates an effective and realistic treatment plan. After listening to my description of recent ER visit, he said, “that was the appropriate thing to do, but let’s treat you as a human.” This is a really good example why patients need and benefit from having a PCP who is familiar with me as a person and my health care needs. Thanks Dr. Kielhorn.
