Sports & Musculoskeletal Medicine Pediatric Care
Injury treatment and prevention for children
ARC Sports & Musculoskeletal Medicine doctors and advanced practice clinicians (APCs) are committed to helping children and adolescents enjoy an active lifestyle. Our specialists provide accurate diagnoses and non-surgical treatment plans for muscle, bone, joint, and connective tissue conditions.
Most pediatric patients visit our sports and musculoskeletal medicine physicians and APCs for sudden and overuse injuries. Common conditions include knee, shoulder, leg, or hip injuries, pulled or sprained muscles, and fractures.
Non-surgical treatments for injuries
Our sports & musculoskeletal medicine team prioritizes non-surgical treatment options, focusing on your child’s comfort and recovery. Depending on the severity of the injury or condition, your visit may include x-rays or referrals for advanced imaging such as MRI or CT scans. If a surgery evaluation is needed, your physician or APC will coordinate your child’s care with an orthopedic surgeon.
