ARC adds Neurology specialists and services

ARC recently welcomed two Neurology specialists to the ARC team at ARC East 7th. Now, we are excited to announce the expansion of the Neurology team to ARC Four Points, where we will offer infusion therapy and multiple sclerosis (MS) treatments, coming in August.

We offer cutting-edge neurological diagnosis and treatment. Neurologists treat a variety of conditions that affect the brain and nerves throughout the body and spinal cord. Conditions treated include stroke, seizures, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, migraines, and dementias. They serve as primary or consulting healthcare providers, working with your primary care physician.

Welcome new specialists to ARC East 7th

Andrea S. Raymond, MD, Neurologist, and Kimberly K. Kosatka, APRN, MSN, FNP-C, have joined the team at ARC East 7th. Dr. Raymond is fellowship-trained in neurophysiology and neurocritical care.

The team at ARC East 7th offers electromyography (EMG) diagnostic procedures to diagnose various neuromuscular diseases. EMG tests measure muscle response or electrical activity in response to a nerve's stimulation of a muscle.

Expanded team at ARC Four Points

Scott A. Borochow, MD, and Patrick C. Nolan, MD, PhD, have relocated to ARC Four Points. Diana N. Andino, MD, will join them in August.

ARC Four Points now offers EMG in addition to electroencephalogram (EEG) tests to identify neurological issues. Neurologists use EEG tests to detect abnormalities in brain waves or the brain's electrical activity.

MS diagnosis and treatment

MS is a condition in which the immune system mistakenly attacks the nerves throughout the body. MS symptoms vary from person to person and may include fatigue, loss of balance, vision problems, thinking and memory problems, and more. Diagnosing MS is complex; different kinds of MS require different tests before a diagnosis can be made.

Dr. Andino diagnoses and treats various MS-related conditions. She is fellowship trained in multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology.

Although there is no cure for MS, Dr. Andino works closely with you to prescribe and monitor disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) that can slow the progression of the disease and reduce acute relapses. These therapies are taken in the form of infusions, injections, or steroids and administered at ARC Four Points.

Expanded infusion therapy for multiple sclerosis treatment

Infusion therapy offers another method of treatment when other forms of medication are no longer effective and can help patients gain normal function or decrease pain, swelling, and stiffness in their joints and muscles.
