Lab and testing services

Laboratory (lab) tests are a procedure in which your health care provider takes a sample of your blood, urine, other body fluid, or body tissue to get information about your health. Lab tests are often used to help diagnose or screen for a specific disease or condition.

For your convenience, ARC offers on-site lab testing at all primary care, Ob/Gyn, and most ARC specialty clinics. Because the majority of the tests are run in-house at our central lab, we are able to provide results quicker than outside labs. For most tests not run through our central lab, you can still have your blood drawn at ARC. We work with other labs in the community to run the needed tests.

Diagnosing disease and conditions

If your ARC physician orders a lab test for you, it will generally be for medical diagnosis or disease prevention. Types of tests most requested by your doctor are blood work and include a metabolic panel, lipid, kidney, and liver panels. The labs at ARC clinics can also test for things like COVID-19, diabetes, anemia, thyroid disorders, strep, and flu.

You can easily schedule your lab work to be done at an ARC clinic other than your own. As long as you have an order for a test from your doctor, you can book a lab appointment via your ARC MyChart account or by calling any clinic with an on-site lab.
