Human connection, positive impression

Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner Jenny S Choi, APRN, FNP-C at ARC Hutto

We are happy to welcome Jenny S. Choi, APRN, MSN, FNP-C, Family Medicine to the team at ARC Hutto.

"I've always felt a calling to become someone who helps and cares for others," says Jenny of her decision to go into medicine. "I had a great pediatric nurse practitioner growing up and she influenced me to look into health care as a career at a young age. From obtaining my CNA license in high school, volunteering every summer at local hospitals, everything naturally progressed into me becoming a family nurse practitioner myself."

"The human connection of this profession, being able to leave a positive impression on people's lives or just being a support in times of uncertainty, are what drew me to nursing and give me a great sense of purpose," Jenny adds.

Helping patients gain control over their health

"Collaboration with patients is an important aspect of my practice," says Jenny. "I'd like to make health maintenance an enjoyable, learning experience for patients to help them feel that they have control over their health."

When asked her best health care tip, Jenny says, "Preventive care and screenings are very important!"

When asked about how she enjoys her free time, Jenny tells us, "I'm a foodie and always looking to try new restaurants and cuisines. I love to travel, experience different cultures, and go to concerts and musicals."
