We are happy to announce that Jennifer A. Hensley, APRN, MSN, FNP-C, Family Medicine, has joined the team at ARC Georgetown.
"I have always wanted a career helping people, and medicine has fascinated me for as long as I can remember," says Jennifer, "so it was a natural choice to put those two things together. Family medicine affords me the opportunity to get to know my patients and play a part in helping maintain their health across the lifespan."
Holistic, evidence-based solutions
"I love learning and have a passion for educating patients," says Jennifer, adding, "My aim is to help patients feel comfortable and empowered through knowledge, to make informed decisions to take control of their health." Jennifer continues, "I strive to employ holistic, evidence-based solutions that are culturally appropriate, fit the individual's needs, beliefs, and lifestyle while still attaining their health goals. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to develop trusting, long-lasting relationships with patients and work together to achieve the best outcomes so they can live a healthy, full life."
When asked for her favorite health tip, Jennifer says, "Exercise is so important for health maintenance and disease prevention. Find an activity you love doing and do it often. There is something for everybody."
In her free time, Jennifer enjoys, "Spending time with my daughter – hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking, or camping. I also enjoy traveling, learning to cook new cuisine, and foreign films."
