Open communication, tolerance, and trust are key

Internal Medicine Doctor Victoria K. Gaca

ARC is happy to announce that Victoria K. Gaca, MD, Internal Medicine, has joined the team at ARC Cedar Park Building C.

"Primary care provides a unique opportunity to develop the doctor-patient relationship so that I can truly get to know my patients as a person and provide the best possible care," says Dr. Gaca. She says of her choice to specialize in Internal Medicine, "It appealed to my broad interests with its vast subject matter and wide scope of practice." Dr. Gaca adds, "I enjoy providing comprehensive medical care and treating the entire patient as a whole."

Compassion, empathy, and open-mindedness

"My approach to practicing medicine is one of compassion, empathy, and open-mindedness," says Dr. Gaca. "Every patient is unique and has a different life story that is not exclusively defined by their medical history. I want my patients to be actively involved in their medical care so that they feel empowered to continue making healthy life choices when they leave my clinic."

"Always tell your doctor about any over the counter and herbal supplements you are taking," says Dr. Gaca. "They could have side effects or interactions with other medications you are prescribed."

In her free time, Dr. Gaca, says she enjoys "spending time with friends, family, and my cat. Live music is my favorite pastime and I've traveled all over the country for different live music events. I also enjoy walks on the trail by my home and yoga to stay active and unwinding with TV/movies and books." She adds that Kerbey Lane Café is one of her favorite places to eat—a holdover from her college days at UT.
