About
Seema Gupta, MD
-
Dr. Gupta grew up in India. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, baking, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. One of Dr. Gupta’s favorite locales is The Domain in Austin.
I wanted to be a doctor from a young age. I grew up in a community in which multiple generations and households would live together and pitch in without being asked, and I wanted a career that would reflect that value of putting others first. I’ve found it incredibly rewarding to help my patients through both day-to-day challenges and the most challenging times of their lives. I’ve also always been interested in science, and medicine has allowed me to be a life-long learner, as the field is constantly evolving. I believe in the prevention of disease through early detection and proper diagnosis, and in the use of proper treatment to address illnesses and minimize pain and suffering. I advocate for a well-balanced lifestyle that includes healthy eating, exercise, and mindfulness as regular habits—so that none of these practices feels like a burden or chore.
