About
Isha Mittal, MD, MPH, AAHIVS
-
Dr. Mittal grew up in the Houston suburbs. In their free time, they enjoy pickleball, cooking, and movie nights with their partner and their pets. Dr. Mittal loves Saturday morning walks at Lady Bird Lake, especially the Unity Tunnel, and also enjoys comedy clubs like Esther’s Follies, Rozco’s, and Fallout Theater.
I chose family medicine because I love hearing patients’ stories, understanding the people behind the diagnoses, and building meaningful relationships. I am particularly passionate about preventive care, LGBTQ+ health, adult gender-affirming medicine, and HIV/STI care. I strive to create a practice where patients of every identity feel welcome, respected, and comfortable being themselves. I believe in taking a proactive approach to health by focusing on screening, early intervention, and helping patients make informed decisions that support their long-term health. I also believe good care starts with listening and understanding each patient’s individual goals, circumstances, and priorities. I want to know: What is important to you?
