COVID-19 vaccines are available at ARC for ages 6 months and up.

You can book your COVID-19 vaccine appointment on ARC MyChart or by phone, or you can ask for the vaccine at your next primary care visit. When you schedule your appointment, you can request a flu shot too. It's safe to get both at the same time.

At this time of year, the prevalence of viral illnesses rises. We have started to see cases of flu and COVID already circulating in the community. This year's vaccines fight the latest viral strains, though they can take about two weeks to build full immunity. By getting your seasonal vaccine now, you can reduce your risk of serious illness and help prevent the spread of viruses to your family and friends.

Recommendations for the 2026-2027 season

The COVID-19 vaccination is recommended for the individuals below*:

  • Patients over the age of 65
  • Patients 6 months and older with an underlying health condition that puts them at higher risk for severe COVID
  • Pregnant patients
  • Patients ages 6-23 months, regardless of risk factors
  • Patients 19 years and older, regardless of risk factors

*Recommendations per American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Family Practice

If you have questions, talk to your doctor or advanced practice clinician (APC) for more guidance on the COVID vaccine. They will provide information about the risks and benefits of the vaccine at your visit.

Insurance coverage and cost

We expect the vaccine to be covered by most health plans; however, coverage may vary. If you are unsure, please contact your insurance plan before scheduling your vaccine.

If you have a Medicaid insurance plan, you must call to schedule your appointment, since availability differs for vaccines supplied by the state. Information will be added to ARCcovidvaccine.com when it becomes available.
