Effective September 23, osteoporosis/bone density screenings and DEXA body scans, currently offered at ARC South 1st (3828 South 1st Street), have moved just across the parking lot to ARC South 1st Pediatrics (3816 South 1st Street).
Bone density screenings and DEXA body scans are now located on the first floor of ARC South 1st Pediatrics, while pediatric care remains on the second floor. With more available space, the move to ARC South 1st Pediatrics is expected to improve access for patients receiving these services.

DEXA body scans provide a detailed snapshot of how your body weight breaks down into fat and lean tissue using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry — a "gold standard" body composition analysis tool that is more precise than other methods like BMI. It is important to understand your body composition if you are trying to lose fat, gain muscle, or both.
