Diet, exercise, and engagement
"My goal is to promote my patient's involvement in their own health with an emphasis on preventive medicine. I strive to guide my patients into a healthier lifestyle and help them manage their illness by directing specialty referrals when necessary," says Dr. Merryman.
"Regular exercise, a Mediterranean diet with emphasis on plant-based whole food, omega-3 dominant fish (salmon, tuna, herring, mackerel, and sardines), and little to no red meat," says Dr. Merryman when asked for a health tip for his patients.
In his free time, Dr. Merryman says he enjoys "flyfishing, landscaping, hiking, and traveling in Europe." Dr. Merryman is also active in his local church.
