Dr. Medina says, "I decided to study medicine because of my passion for helping people in need. Surgery gave me the opportunity of using my hands as an instrument to heal."
"I enjoy all subjects related to surgery," Dr. Medina tells us, "However, my specialty is bariatric and robotic surgery." In his role as a surgeon, Dr. Medina says, "I see a wide variety of pathology in my practice, in an age range of 5 years old to the elderly population."

When asked about his best health tip for patients, Dr. Medina says, "Except for smoking, obesity is the number one preventable cause of death in our country. Drinking water is the first step in becoming healthy."
In his free time, Dr. Medina says he enjoys, "Spending time with my family, exercise, running, music, and arts."
