She continues, "I find joy in working together with a person and their family to create a treatment plan that suits their unique situation."
Colonoscopies save lives
When asked her go-to health tip, Dr. DuBose says, "Colonoscopies save lives. Staying current with colon cancer screening has been shown to decrease the risk of dying from a colon or rectal cancer. I went into colon and rectal surgery because we get to prevent and cure cancers regularly."
In her free time, Dr. DuBose says, "I am outside with my two young daughters and partner, Travis. We live on acreage and love working around the property and watching the wildlife come in each morning and evening." She describes her best "Day in Central Texas" as "Floating the river with family/friends, getting dinner and margaritas at the Gristmill, and then going to a show at Gruene Hall."
