This year, it is especially important to get the flu shot, as it is likely flu viruses and the virus that causes COVID-19 will be spreading simultaneously. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) continues to recommend universal flu vaccination for everyone 6 months and older, particularly for those in high-risk groups.
Limited drive-up flu shots coming
Due to the need to staff COVID testing and vaccination site, drive-up flu vaccinations will be limited. When drive-up clinics are scheduled, we can administer flu and COVID vaccinations simultaneously if requested.
Four types of flu shots available
ARC will offer quadrivalent flu vaccine in four forms, including the regular flu shot, preservative-free flu shot, high-dose Flublok flu shot (for 50 years and older), and FluMist®, ask your physician which one is best for you.
